A little ball of string, to hang some clothes that we had had to hand wash.

SUMMARY:

  • When you’re starting out with frequency work, it can be hard to tell what’s guiding you — the distortion patterns that shape your thoughts, or your intuition. The difference? Intuition is embodied and comes with a strong knowingness. You may even feel it viscerally in the body. The mind is more chattery, full of spin and second-guessing. As you rise in resonance, it’ll become easier to distinguish between intuition and the mind. 

  • When you first begin, it can be hard to follow intuition because the mind kicks in and you start to doubt your intuitive knowingness. The mind likes certainty and control. When you have an intuitive hit, the mind will start to seed doubt and muddy the waters, because it doesn’t understand the source of the intuition.

  • If you’re finding it hard to act on your intuition, you can start an intuition journal: Use your phone or notebook to record your instincts and watch what happens. If your intuition tends to prove right, you’ll have more confidence to follow it and put it into action.

  • Following one’s intuition requires discipline and comfort in the not-yet-known. It can be scary at first, and you may be jockeying with your mind, but the more you leap in, the more you can trust yourself. 

  • If you’re trying to will, or force, something to happen, it can be hard to receive intuition at all. So you can ask yourself: How can I come into more neutrality? What are the distortion patterns I have to release? When you start becoming more neutral, you’ll still have preferences, but if you can train yourself to hold those preferences lightly, then you’ll make room for intuition to come through.

  • You don’t need to suffer to validate your initial intuition. As you follow intuition, obstacles may arise. If they’re resolved in some way, then you’ll know to keep following. If a situation truly begins to prove detrimental, you’ll know that it’s time to let go.

  • A note for people with entities running through them: It’s hard to tell the difference between intuition and the other thing attached to you. Don’t listen to the voices — they’re typically the darkness. Intuition will be more of a feeling. You’ll need to strengthen your center and work to release the darkness (possibly in an IFC). Then your intuition can be perceived more clearly.
