The first time I visited Egypt, I was 17.
It was a family trip, and nothing like anything I’d experienced before.
Even with all of the chaos in Cairo, a wildly different culture, the hot desert sun (we were there in July, which I don’t recommend!)—there was something about it that I loved.
Something about the mystery of all the hieroglyphs, the temples, the statues. Walking among things so ancient, and there were some places we visited that, even back then, I knew were special somehow. I could feel tingling in my body that I was pretty certain wasn’t just the desert heat!
What I didn’t know from our Fodor’s guide book back then is that Egypt is the ancient seat of many Mystery Schools.
I didn’t know what its greater purpose was. All I knew was that it had a ton of really fascinating old relics and temples.
In this episode, we’re going to talk about some of the mysteries Egypt holds and their relevance now, from the Ankh (the key of life) to Isis.
